Technology in the Classroom at Sarah Banks Middle School

Technology integration in the learning environment is a hallmark distinction at Sarah Banks Middle School. From our successful Anytime, Anywhere Learning Laptop program, to our innovative classrooms, we embrace the responsibility of empowering student learning with essential skills and tools required in today’s world.

 

SMART Technologies is both the industry pioneer and market-segment leader in easy-to-use interactive whiteboards and other group collaboration tools. Strongly believing that one educator can make a difference in a student’s life, SMART has been supporting educators  by providing innovative products and services since 1991. Interactive SMART Boards at Sarah Banks Middle School were made possible through an educational technology grant sponsored by The One to One Institute. Sarah Banks is proud to be distinguished as a Smart Technologies Demonstration School.

 

The One-to-One Institute is a pioneer in educational technology initiatives. Harnessing the power of collaboration and innovative thinking, One-to-One provides support and training for educators utilizing tools in a 21st century learning classroom. Sarah Banks is a proud member of The One-to-One Institute, as well as being named a Michigan Technology Showcase School. 

  
Higher education and K-12 classrooms and training facilities in the public and private sectors require special attention to the needs of both the instructors and the students. AVI-SPL is integrating today's technologies to expand teaching options through distance learning, visual presentation, and audience feedback increases learning and retention. Sarah Banks works collaboratively with the regional office of AVI-SPL in Walled Lake.
