Staff Development  

The Staff Development Office serves the professional needs of the employees. The primary mission of staff development is to assess, design and implement programs and services which further each employee's development.

Numerous training sessions and seminars have been conducted on a wide range of topics including instructional skills and classroom management, CPR and basic first aid, decision-making and needs assessments, computer skills and conflict resolution. Staff development personnel support and coordinate the building-level school improvement and accreditation processes. They also coordinate the district wide professional development activities during which all instructional staff participate in workshops and planning sessions aimed at implementing the curricular performance standards.

The Staff Development Office plays an integral part in curriculum development and in facilitating the district's strategic plan.
