Effective Parenting Group Thank you for taking the time to read this regarding the Effective Parenting group offered through Oakland Family Services of Walled Lake. Effective Parenting is an 8 week program that educates and offers support to parents on the following topics: Developmental Stages of Childhood, Family Stress, Stress Management for Parents and Children, Anger Management for Parents and Children, Discipline Techniques, Building Personal and Child Self-Esteem, Family Communication, and Family Conflict Resolution. Parents with children of all ages and backgrounds are able to benefit from the topics of interest. The cost is $20 per session per person OR per couple and runs from 6:30pm until 8pm every Thursday. Participants may join the group at any point in time. A new topic is covered each week (for 8 weeks straight, at which time we start over) but does not demand knowledge of the previous topics.
