  • This is a fabulous clearing house of local information and help for families.  This nonprofit will be able to connect you with local organizations that help with utility shutoffs, counseling, food banks, and many other resources.
  • Just pick up the phone and dial 211!

  • Some of the many areas 211 helps our community: 2-1-1 helps laid-off workers with job training, housing, food and other needs, 2-1-1 provides information on flu shot locations and financial assistance, 2-1-1 has information on state-provided children’s health insurance, 2-1-1 helps crime victims deal with the aftermath they face, 2-1-1 has a translation service to assist callers in over 170 languages, 2-1-1’s database has the most current information and assistance available, 2-1-1 actively listens to callers, assessing additional needs not immediately apparent, 2-1-1 sees where there is the most need and is able to target assistance to increase help available, 2-1-1 is a resource for rural and urban populations, providing relevant referrals based on the caller’s location, 2-1-1 provides parenting information, 2-1-1 can immediately connect individuals who are contemplating suicide with a crisis counselor
