After School Adventures

After School Adventure classes will ONLY be offered at certain elementary schools each session. Classes begin immediately after school and end at 5:00pm.

Fall: Dublin, Commerce, Keith, Oakley Park
Winter: Meadowbrook, Hickory Woods, Walled Lake, Wixom
Spring: Pleasant Lake, Mary Helen Guest, Loon Lake, Glengary

Students may ONLY ATTEND After-School Adventure classes at their home/attending school. Please see the complete list of after-school activity procedures.

iCode Tech Club: K-2nd

During this course, K-2nd grade students will develop important skills in keyboarding, logical analysis and programming with Python. They will be using snap circuits to build parallel circuits and identify conductors and insulators. During the last section of the program students will create a variety of digital art using a range of programs.

iCode Tech Club: 3rd-5th

Tech Club is a one-hour long program held at the school each week for 3rd through 5th grade students. Students will gain a hands-on insight into iCode’s computer science curriculum. Students will learn foundational concepts with extra exposure to patterns, sequencing, and logical thinking that results in an improved ability to solve problems. They will be learning python, drone programming, and robotics through an application based curriculum.

STEAM-Sational

Calling all smarty-pants! Get ready to explore S.T.E.A.M concepts in totally rad and creative ways that will result in cool creations you’ll be proud to brag about - from your very own pinball machine, a creative Venus flytrap, a colorful kaleidoscope and magic ink that will light up a cityscape, plus loads of experiential learning and messy fun along the way! Let's get our science on like never before with this one-of-a-kind S(mart) T(alented) E(xperimental) A(wesome!) M(agnificent) experience!

Young Rembrandts - The Power of Drawing

Learning to see and create images is critical to a child’s development. By teaching the fundamentals of drawing using familiar shapes and subjects, students experience increased confidence, improved coordination and spatial awareness…. all while having tons of FUN! No lesson is ever repeated!

Musical Theatre Workshop

As students work on an abridged version of a script they will learn musical theatre, acting, singing, dance and more! Students will have a blast playing theatre games, becoming characters and singing and dancing to the songs in our script. The session will end with a performance where parents, friends and family can come see what the students have learned with Sunset Theatre Company! Students will have a great time and leave with a brand new sense of self confidence and teamwork! Excellent for boys and girls! All levels welcome!

TGA Premier Junior Golf

TGA makes it convenient and fun for your child to learn to play golf right in the school gym! Our curriculums were specifically designed by industry leading golf professionals and education specialists. Students will experience a mix of golf instruction, rules and etiquette lessons, character development lessons, and physical activity as they advance through the five-level program. All equipment provided. First time students receive a hat and handbook.

JavaScript Coding Game Design

AccelerateKID® JavaScript Programming class will teach students about advanced computer science using JavaScript programming language. Students will learn advanced JS programming logic and debug skills, understand JS syntaxes, and develop custom apps and fun games using sports and animal themes! Students will feel confident and inspired to do more! Students are to bring their own laptops/Chromebooks.
