Rental Information

The Walled Lake Outdoor Education Center can be rented by responsible organizations and individuals on weekdays and weekends throughout the year. Overnight camps are a popular choice for school groups, religious organizations and scout groups. School staff and corporate groups often use our facility for staff development and team planning sessions. Many of these groups combine their organizational meeting with a team building program facilitated by our Walled Lake Outdoor Education Center staff. Graduation parties are also becoming a popular use of the Center. Our location, facility size and parking accommodations make our facility a perfect fit for hosts and guests. 

The rental rates listed below give a general idea of how each group will be charged. These prices are subject to change by the Board of Education. A minimum of 40 people are required for groups that would like to use the dormitories for an overnight stay. 

All Adventure Challenge Course programs, Girl Scout/Brownie programs and environmental programs are customized to meet the specific needs and budget of your group.

Outside School Weekday Rates (K-12)

$150 Special - 6 meals, 2 snacks, 6 hour and 45 minute class blocks with a 15:1 student to instructor ratio. Additional fees may apply for High Adventure activities.

Day Use Facility Rental

Yurt (30 foot diameter, holds approximately 30 people) - $175/day

Main Lodge (Cafeteria, bathrooms, all classrooms, grounds)

• Non-Profit Groups: Weekdays - $450/day | Weekends - $475/day
• For Profit Groups: Weekdays - $575/day | Weekends - $625/day

A deposit of $400 or up to 20% of the total estimated cost is required to reserve the facility. The deposit is forfeited due to cancellation fourteen 14 days after the Walled Lake Outdoor Education Center receives the deposit.

Canoes, kayaks and snow shoes can be rented from Heavner Canoe Rental. Please let Mr. Heavner know that you are staying at our facility.
