Reflections

Volunteer arts and education experts review submissions without knowledge of the entrants' identity. Judges look for personal interpretations on the program theme that best exemplify creativity and technical skill.

• Interpretation - How closely the piece relates to the theme based on the artwork itself and the artist statement.
• Creativity - How creative and original the piece is in its conception of the theme and its presentation.
• Technique - The level of skill demonstrated in the basic principles/techniques of the arts area.

October 1 – Official WLCSD launch of Reflections

October 19 - Theme Search Contest submissions due

November 10 – Recommended due date for Reflections entries at the school level

December 2 – School-level judging results due to the district level

January 7 (tentative) – Advancing entries to the state level submitted electronically to Fluid Review (more info as we get closer)

Mid-January 2026 – District winners will be announced to PTSA groups

Early March 2026 – State winners will be announced

March 23 – District celebration at Walled Lake Western High School, 6:30 p.m.

April 2026 (Date TBD) - Michigan PTA Reflections Celebration - Registration Required

May 1 – National winners announced

June 2026 – National PTA Reflections Celebration
